DESSERT / MELBOURNE : T by LuxBite
In an ideal world, people would only be allowed to text using emojis, leaving words exclusively for phone calls. Scrolling through my phone, I can't remember the last time I did not have at least one emoji carefully selected and placed appropriately next to something even remotely related to it, so you could not believe the sheer happiness I had when I discovered that a tangible, edible, mango , yoghurt, lime syrup soaked white chocolate sponge chocolate tart goddess of a creation existed in the shape of one of my absolute favourite emojis - the love heart eyed smiley emoji. They looked like the tiny 5mm emojis on my screen times twenty in magnification. I didn’t know whether I should have bought one for everyone I love to show them how I feel without using the wizardry of speech or whether to drop Steve Aoki a line to tell him he needed to update his “Cake Face” to something more pertinent, the Emoji Cake from T by LuxBite.

Today wasn’t the first time T By LuxBite has blown me away and I know it definitely wont be the last. They always bring out the pure inner child in me by making sophisticated, technically intricate creations that are ridiculously fun, colourful and quirky. T by LuxBite is a confectionery concept store dedicated to everything Tart, however, they still hold all of the delicious desserts they were made famous for, such as the 7 layered Lolly Bag Cake.

Rewind Masterchef back a few years to the pressure test in which the contestants had three and a half hours to make the 7 layered cake consisting of a banana lolly Joconde, freckles crunch, mandarin jaffa ganache, musk mallow, more banana lolly Joconde, spearmint leaf buttercream, topped with a Redskins glaze. There were whispers at the time that Bernard Chu had taken the crown as the new master of cakes from the king himself Adriano Zumbo. I however would be more than happy to adopt Spartan principles and let both kings rule the dessert kingdom together.

T by Luxbite, I’m going to put it out there and put in my request now for the next Emoji inspired cake seeing as though Xmas is around the corner. Santa knows I’ve been a very good girl in 2015 and will hopefully make my wish come true. After all, I have been leaving tarts out for him every year next to the white ornament littered christmas tree…..
Please make the crying with tears of joy emoji - because everyone knows you're not truly living unless you use it in a text AT LEAST once a day. 😂😂😂
